About this resource
This online resource started within the Urbanising in Place project (see below), an international and transdisciplinary project based on the experiences in four local cases (Brussels, London, Riga and Rosario). We hope to expand the resource with insights and experiences around an agroecological urbanism in the coming years.
Urbanising In Place
‘Urbanising in place’ was one of the funded projects of the Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI) Food-Water-Energy Nexus call, jointly established by the Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe, the Belmont Forum and ERA-Net. The cooperation was established in order to bring together the fragmented research and expertise across the globe to find innovative new solutions to the Food-Water-Energy Nexus challenge. The SUGI-FWE Nexus project “Urbanising in Place” is supported by the European Commission and funded under the Horizon 2020 ERA-NET Cofund scheme (Projectnummer 11326801) which includes research funding from the following institutions and related grant numbers: FWO(G0H5817N), ESRC/UKRI (ES/S002251/1), Innovate UK&ERA-NET(620145 & 11326801), NWO(438-17-406), VIAA(ES RTD/2018/15 and ES RTD/2018/16), Innoviris (RBC/2018-ENSUGI-1), and MINCYT(CONVE-2019-16850590-APN-DDYGD#MECCYT).
